How do I mention others in feedback and ensure they get my responses?

Today, it's not possible to directly mention or reply to the feedback a specific person gave you on a song (to notify them). All comments belong to the broader thread and the only notification that gets sent is to the song owner, unless you choose to optionally follow along with a feedback thread. Here's how you can ensure you get notified of each comment that happens on your songs and the songs that you've given feedback on.

If you look at any song on Frettie (once logged in) right above the moment box is a “Follow Feedback” button. If you click this, you’ll then be subscribed to the comment thread for that song. So anytime someone posts a comment on a song that you’ve subscribed to, you'll get notified. This does not have to be songs that you own. It can be any songs.

Here’s a few best practices on how to use it across Frettie:

1.) If you own the song: Post your song, check it out of Frettie and give it some love of your own. Then subscribe right at that point, or wait until someone gives you your first bit of feedback. Once someone gives you feedback, log in, address the feedback and then subscribe to the thread. This ensures that you don’t miss anything, even though you'll get notified of all comments on any song that you own anyways.

2.) If it’s not a song that you own: Provide your feedback, but then immediately subscribe to the thread. This ensures that you'll get any additional comments from anyone else who may mentioned you in their feedback as well as allows you to see the progress on the song. If things get too crazy in the inbox, you can easily just unsubscribe to the feedback thread via email or by revising that song on Frettie.

If you want to ever make mention and encourage folks to subscribe to your feedback for updates, etc. don’t hesitate to do so.

We hope this helps ensure you stay close to the feedback and interactions that you are having on Frettie.
